DDB Sydney has appointed senior creatives, Tim Woolford and Tommy Cehak. Both Woolford and Cehak are highly awarded, with numerous Cannes Lions, D&AD pencils, AWARD awards, One Show pencils and Effies under their belts.
DDB chief creative officer, Ben Welsh, commented, “These two are great at creating the sort of work that underpins our belief in delivering growth for our clients, through ideas that deliver fame, feeling and fluency. Not only are they very talented, they’re a pleasure to work with.”
Cehak has worked at The Royals, Droga5, Saatchi & Saatchi and M&C Saatchi, across a range of brands from Tiger Beer and Toyota to Nicabate and EMI. He joins DDB Sydney as senior art director.
“I’m delighted to join the DDB Sydney team. I’ve fond memories of Ben (Welsh, CCO) from early in my career, and all the great things I’ve heard about Tara (Ford, ECD) check out. So, I’m excited to see what creative mischief Tim and I can get up to on the terrific list of clients we have over here,” Cehak said.
New Zealand ex-pat, Woolford, began his advertising career in 2012 in Melbourne after finishing top of his class at AWARD School. He spent nearly five years at TBWA, including working out of the Los Angeles and London offices, working across clients including Medibank, Nissan, Origin Energy, The Age, Twitter, Lidl, Apple, Schweppes, and ANZ Bank.
He commented, “I always roll my eyes at these quotes, so I hope I don’t induce too much cringe by saying that I’m thrilled to be starting a new chapter here at DDB Sydney. Its clients are iconic, and the people here are some of the industry’s most talented and respected. I can’t wait to start creating. Plus, Tommy seemed palatable!”
