The US dominates the Cannes Lions shortlist for Film Craft, with 72 of the 155 finalists – some shared with other countries – Italy, Mexico, Japan, The UK & Canada.
- Revolver leads Australia’s finalists with 2 for Play it Safe for Sydney Opera House with agency, The Monkeys. Revolver is also noted four times as the production company on Hornbach’s The Square Meter, with Tony Petersen Film Berlin and agency, Heimat\TBWA Berlin.
- The Monkeys also has a finalist spot for Play it Safe with Revolver.
- FINCH has one finalist for TAB’s Sport is Sport with agency, The Monkeys.
AUDIO & RADIO
75 entries have been shortlisted in Audio & Radio.
- TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris South Africa has three finalists for its City Lodge Hotels campaign.
- Area 23, an IPG Health Network Company New York has two for Magnetic Sound for Siemens Healthineers. Energy BBDO Chicago has three for The Sound Studio for The General Insurance. BBDO New York has two for Tail Orchestra for Pedigree. Alma DDV Miami has two for Change the Ref.
- Gut Buenos Aires has two for The Universal Language of Coca-Cola.
- Africa Creative DDB has two for Uninterruptad for Budweiser.
- Howatson + Company leads Australia’s finalists with three for Mastercard Touch, with Heckler Sound, Big Bang Sound Design and Stare Crazy Berlin.
- The Monkeys has one finalist for Telstra, Hello Christmas, with Squeak E. Clean Studios.
OUTDOOR
211 entries have been shortlisted on Outdoor – 10 in Market Disruption, from Italy (1), Brazil (3), France (2), the US (3) and Canada (1). There are 17 finalists in each of Ambient and Social Behaviour & Cultural Insight, and 33 in Consumer Goods, across two sections. Coca-Cola dominates Consumer Goods with 12 – 6 by Ogilvy New York, 6 by VML.
Australia has two finalists by DDB Australia for Volkswagen’s Roobadge, developed with Nakatomi, The University of Melbourne, Vert Design and Flying Robot.
