Cannes Lions winners: Grand Prix for Good and Lions Health Grand Prix for Good
The Grand Prix for Good was won by Rainbow Lobster, 600K Network, for Commando Con Venezuela
The back story by Sebastian “Pana” Arrechedera, founder of Rainbow Lobster on LinkedIn:
We talk about Big Data as a tool of power. Governments use it to monitor citizens.
Corporations use it to predict behaviour. On July 28, 2024, 600,000 Venezuelans used it to defeat a dictatorship.
They didn’t have servers or algorithms. They had phones, a QR code the regime printed on every ballot, and a network built in secret over months — in kitchens, churches and basements across the country. 85% of the ballots captured in real time.
A four-million-vote margin documented before the regime could touch the results.
The operation was called 600K NETWORK. María Corina Machado, Nobel Peace Prize 2025, was its architect.
That story still doesn’t have the global narrative it deserves. Cannes Lions is where the world decides which stories get told and how. That’s why 600K Network competes there this June.
The first credit on the entry form reads “the Venezuelan people.” Several of those who made it possible chose to remain anonymous. They are still at risk.
The Lions Health Grand Prix for Good was won by Differ, Vehicle of Hope, for Caritas
