The exodus of top creatives from Australian agencies shows no signs of abating yet. We all know what Steve Back, Paul Nagy, Andy DiLallo, Darren Spiller & Ben Coulson are doing next. Joint executive creative directors & partners, Jim Ingram and Ben Couzens, and chief strategy officer & partner, Adam Ferrier, have announced that they are leaving Cummins&Partners to start something new.
Adam Ferrier
Ferrier joined Cummins&Partners when it was still CumminsRoss as chief strategy officer in 2013 from Naked where he has been chief strategy officer and founding partner. He had been at Naked for nearly a decade and at Saatchi & Saatchi for two years prior to that. Before he entered agency life, Ferrier was a psychologist.

Ingram and Couzens joined Cummins&Partners together at the beginning of 2014. They had come from Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, where they were joint executive creative directors. Both had joined Clemenger in 2011 from GPY&R Melbourne, where they were creative directors.
Chris Jeffares, chief executive officer, Cummins&Partners Australia, commented, “We’ve made great campaigns and memories together, worked hard, played hard and had some fun times along the way. The agency had a very fast start over our first three years, and these guys have really helped keep up this momentum over the next three.
“We are not looking to replace the trio as we have great depth in our existing ranks so the opportunities this creates is exciting for all of the team.”
Ingram, Couzens and Ferrier have all noted that they’ve loved working at Cummins&Partners, have learned a lot and shared a lot of successes. Their departure times have not yet been announced.
Although losing Vodafone at the end of last year was, no doubt a blow to the agency, the trio have spearhead really interesting work like this:
