For the last six months, Curious Film has been quietly reinforcing its commitment to advertising production. It took on new directors, Zoë Bell and Rachel House. Curious, Bell, House and director, Roma D’Arrietta joined Free The Bid. Kesha Robertson joined in Australia.
And now, Curious has lured Kate Roydhouse from London to become managing director and executive producer.
Roydhouse joins from WPP’s digital consultancy, Group SJR, and content marketing agency, Colloquial, where she was head of production throughout EMEA, drawing on her experience across advertising, marketing and communications on global brands at Crispin Porter + Boulder Path, where she was freelance senior account manager and customer experience agency, .99, where she was senior account manager.
Roydhouse’ career kept her at the forefront of the changing landscape of advertising and production and she recognises the necessity for change.
Matt Noonan, Curious Film managing partner & executive producer, commented, “When I returned from London and setup Curious, we really disrupted the establishment at that time. Kate has been at the pointy end of recent changes in advertising and production in the UK. I’m really excited about her ideas and the potential here to produce great work in new ways.”
Roydhouse added, “I’m thrilled to call Curious my new home, they have long been a company I’ve admired for their innovation and bravery. It’s the perfect fit for me, and now couldn’t be a better time to come back to NZ and put into practice my international experience and ideas.”
