Forget ghosts, goblins, or haunted houses. The biggest Halloween nightmare for trick-or-treaters is ending the night with candy they don’t like.
This year, Mondelēz’s Sour Patch Kids is making sure that fear disappears. In true mischievous fashion, the brand has secretly stocked select homes with over 20,000 bags of its sour-then-sweet candy – and marked them with a clue no one can miss – The Very Big Kid.
The 5-metre inflatable created by DAVID Miami points directly at the houses giving out the good stuff. Bigger than the viral 4-metre skeleton that took over lawns and TikTok feeds, this new Halloween wonder doesn’t just decorate – it directs.
“Halloween has become an arms race of decorations – but what really matters is great candy,” stated Gabi Stone, brand manager at Mondelez. “We made sure this Halloween the biggest trick will lead to the best sour treat.”
“The sweet part is that the Very Big Kid is out there,” added Edgard Gianesi, chief creative officer at DAVID Miami. “The sour part is that we’re not telling where.”
So Miami kids need to be on the lookout for the Very Big Kid on their block. A Halloween of epic proportions is waiting behind a nearby door.
