Crispin Porter Bogusky has appointed Dean Wei as chief creative officer. He joins from Google Creative Lab, where he has been a creative consultant since February. For Prior to that he had worked at Wieden + Kennedy in two stints, as a creative director (Shanghai) and then executive creative director (India), with a nearly ten year stint in London as creative director EMEA at Apple between.
Wei will join CPB at the end of August, reporting to Helen James, chief executive of CPB London and working with David Proudlock, chief strategy officer, to help the agency expand its portfolio. His LinkedIn profile also notes side gigs as “global creative advisor to Anheuser-Busch InBev, member of the Global Creative Council for Kraft-Heinz and advisor to a supersonic jet start-up.”
“I’ve helped world-famous brands evolve and see around corners, helped new brands starting from scratch figure out who and what they are, and helped resuscitate old brands that needed their hearts restarted,” he adds.
David Day left Crispin Porter Bogusky London two months ago to join Special as CCO.
