Six creative agencies have put their ideas into the ring to win The YouTube Skippys award launched by Google’s Creative Agency Team.
Those agencies are: CHE Proximity, BWM Dentsu, DDB, Clemenger BBDO Sydney, Ogilvy and Saatchi & Saatchi. Each agency was given the same brief from charity toilet paper brand, Who Gives a Crap, that gives 50% of its profits to WaterAid to help build toilets and improve sanitation to prevent life-threatening diseases throughout the world.
All submissions had to be video ads.
Judging creativity tends to be subjective in most award shows, but the creative competition that Google’s Creative Agency Team intends to choose its winner differently. Rather than being judged by a panel, performance will be measured across an equally weighted YouTube media plan looking at view through rate, average watch time and organic view count. The top performing ad will be crowned the winner. These videos went up on Friday October 14 and will be live for one week. The winner will be announced on Wednesday October 26.
