New Zealand expat, Greg Bray, was a creative director when directing called him. Creative budgets kept quashing his ideas, so he took to directing them himself. That turned out to be enjoyable.
He developed a flair for elegant wit as well as wild, wacky humour. His latest work for KFC falls into the former category. McCann gave him the job of reminding people that KFC is crave-worthy and that’s AOK.
So he has captured the cravers in all their glory and given them the most heart-warming applause.
“This is the English version of a spot that was originally shot for the Eastern European Markets,” Bray commented.
“Two long nights in Bucharest, and trays and trays of finger lickin’ good chicken resulted in this nice anthem celebrating those who crave, and me putting on 2kgs ensuring the chicken was cinematically tasty enough.
“This was shot with production company, STUDIOSET; the agency was McCann and DOP was the amazing Bobo Filip.”
