Grey Bray has a remarkable feel for comedy. Perhaps that’s because he was once an advertising creative and had to look on the funny side to survive.
His time working in various creative departments, or as he would tell it, getting his ideas crushed, has also given him considerable empathy for agency creatives, he says. He stands up for brave ideas, he reckons. The proof is there in Bray’s work.
Bray has just filmed DDB Paris’ latest organ donation campaign for agence de la biomédecine, which follows the agency’s tradition of making death hilarious and organ donation matter.
The new campaign is an awards show for the dumbest death, complete with a collection of comedic recaps. The message is that there’s no such thing as a dumb death…when you’re an organ donor. It’s so well told.
The film was produced by Cream Paris, with Los Angeles service production company, Lifeboat Productions.
