Jung A Kim joined Innocean Seoul nearly twenty years ago, in 2006, as ECD after starting her career at Cheil Worldwide in 1996 as a copywriter. She became chief creative officer in January 2021. In November she will be global CEO, Innocean’s first female CEO, replacing William Lee, who has led Innocean’s global network for the past five years and will continue to support the organisation as senior advisor during the transition.
Jung A Kim has led award-winning campaigns for Hyundai Motor Group, Hanwha Group, Google Korea, and Domino’s Pizza, including Hyundai’s Night Fishing, which won a grand Prix at both Cannes Lions and MAD STARS this year. She has won all the Awards that matter including Cannes Lions, New York Festival, Clio, One Show, London Advertising Festival, ADFEST, MAD STARS and Spikes Asia.
She was named Korea’s No. 1 Creative Director by Campaign Brief Asia in both 2020 and 2021, the Order of Merit from the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2022, and in 2023 received the Industry Leadership title at AdAsia Changemakers for Good Awards, recognising communication leaders who drive social innovation through creative ideas.
She was named #1 Creative Director in Korea by Campaign Brief Asia, a global advertising publication, for two consecutive years: 2020 and 2021. As an honour for her achievements, she received the Order of Merit from the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2022. Jung A was awarded the ‘Industry Leader’ title at AdAsia 2023 Changemakers for Good Awards.
