Last year, freedoms were withdrawn at the 11th hour before Christmas in the UK. This year, freedom is promised (albeit with some restrictions) and Brits are very much looking forward to Christmas with family and friends. Most ad agencies are tapping into this joyful emotion. isobel, has decided to be different. It has opted for a Christmas in the clink celebration, taking the idea of lockdown to a whole new level.
This has given the agency the most wonderful opportunity to use its now industry-famous Christmas card theme – a photographic tableaux featuring the entire agency. the isobel Christmas card has become an annual industry favourite – setting the benchmark high and picking up a number of awards along the way. Now in its 18th year, and with a handful of awards to its credit – the isobel Christmas card collection includes Glee, a Dutch Master, Swan Lake and a Salvation Army brass band.
The isobel Chrissy card is the brainchild of co-founder and executive creative director, Rob Fletcher.
“Shooting this year’s card was especially poignant,” Fletcher commented, “Last year we had models made of everyone as we weren’t able to gather in person – having the opportunity to all be together was special and there was a real energy and excitement in the room.”
isobel’s 2021 Xmas card was shot on location at Wapping Hydraulic Power Station by Paul Thompson.
