Of all The Beatles’ songs, Hey Jude, is the one that touches hearts. Adidas has used its emotive powers, and the message, Hey Jude, You Got This, in a film that continues its global brand campaign, that hopes to motivate next-gen athletes to also overcome pressure and fuel their love of football. The new commercial highlights the brand’s support for English midfielder, Jude Bellingham, as well as the new generation of players on the eve of UEFA EURO 2024.
The film, directed by Greg Hackett, reflects on hope brought about by a new generation of players representing the nation this summer. Jude Bellingham stars as the film shows the current generation embracing fan support and overcoming the pressures of past disappointments. The film also features some familiar faces, with David Beckham and Frank Lampard reflecting on their own tournament history. And Stormzy, Laura Woods, and Ian Wright can be seen joining fans in embracing the joy of a major tournament summer.
Steve Marks, senior director of brand communications, commented, “The film captures the hearts and minds of a nation obsessed with football. Sport has the power to rally people together and be optimistic going into the tournament. With this film we wanted to inspire athletes and fans alike to follow the example of Jude and his fellow players, to overcome the pressure and further fuel their love of the beautiful game.”

The campaign highlights how athletes of all levels feel pressure and remindsthem to reframe the feeling and focus on the positive rallying cry, You Got This.
The film debuted on social media and will be screened during television coverage of UEFA Euro 2024 for the first time, during the opening match of the tournament between Germany and Scotland on Friday, June 14.
