The airline safety video has proven to be a wonderful canvas for creativity. The latest entrant to the collection is for Qatar Airways, featuring the frenetic comedic ripostes of Keven Hart (who happens to be the airline’s new global brand ambassador).
The film, directed by Hollywood film director, Tim Story, also features supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who plays on Hart’s less than towering stature to demonstrate using the overhead lockers; Anwar and Amal Jibawi who get the seatbelt instructions embedded in the minds of passengers – as well as Hart’s; Khaby Lame who helps Hart eradicate passengers’ urge to smoke; and Adam Waheed who makes the oxygen mask a tool for nutty humour.
Hart commented, “Buckle Up. This safety video is unlike anything you have seen on-board a luxury airline before. I have loved partnering with Qatar Airways to produce a video that passengers will not only pay attention to but remember for a long time coming, or at least until their next flight. Qatar Airways represents best-in-class service and attention to detail, and this video brings those elements to your seat-back screen. Now, sit back, relax and enjoy the flight.”
The film will be available on select Qatar Airways flights beginning in December, and will be available on all Qatar Airways flights by January 2025.
