Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand has created a new position, client services director and appointed Su Johnstone to the role.
She will oversee the entire creative and production process, to make sure that there is collaboration across all areas for all projects and ensure the best possible output for clients.
Paul Wilson, managing director of Saatchi & Saatchi said, “As we continue to expand our capabilities, it’s important that we have the right talent across the entire creative and production process – ensuring world-class delivery end to end. With Su’s unparalleled experience across studio, production and creative departments, we feel very fortunate she decided to join our team. She’s only been with us a few weeks, but her positive impact is already being felt.”
Johnstone brings a wealth of international experience to the new role, with much of her time spent working with leading London agencies during pivotal times of their development, in the branding, packaging and digital sector.
She was director of her own creative services consultancy for nearly nine years in London before moving to New Zealand, advising brands including Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Dyson and the IPA amongst others. Before going out on her own, Johnstone was managing director of Street design and production agency as well as creative services director of 141 Worldwide (both companies part of Bates UK Group).
Johnstone learned the craft of design and production first hand – initially working as a signwriter, then typesetter before moving on to lead creative studios and print production houses.
Johnstone added, “This new CSD role with Saatchi & Saatchi, is undoubtedly the most thrilling and exciting opportunity I could have hoped for, in New Zealand. Such a broad client base, combined with an incredibly talented and collaborative team.”
