J. Walter Thompson Sydney has added The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to its roster. The agency has been chosen to lead and develop a new brand strategy for Smartraveller, the Department’s travel advisory and consular assistance service.
In July, J. Walter Thompson Melbourne won Coles Liquor and in November last year, it won John West.
DFAT chose to work with J. Walter Thompson as a best-in class strategic partner to develop the new brand strategy for Smartraveller. This was based on the agency’s approach to brand strategy, its rigorous process, and clearly understanding the importance of brands in today’s world.
Paul Everson, managing director, J. Walter Thompson Sydney, commented, “We are thrilled to be leading the new brand strategy for Smartraveller and supporting the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s commitment to encouraging safe travel by Australians overseas.”
Work will commence immediately.
