The Monkeys has won the creative pitch for Holden’s SUV launch, in which the agency will be called upon to use its creative verve to put Holden back on the map and make an impact in a very crowded market.
Incumbent agency, AJF Partnership, will remain on the roster, responsible for Holden’s retail creative account.
Pitch finalists, The Monkeys and Publicis, were weighed up against each last week after AJF and Thinkerbell were excluded.
The Monkeys will launch the new Holden Equinox in September. According to Holden’s director of marketing and customer experience, Mark Harland, the brand is hoping to regain the emotional bond that Australians used to have it and perhaps begin to build a connection between Holden and women.
Holden is The Monkeys’ second win since it became part of Accenture in May.
