While Special Group Australia takes Uber Eats to even more fabulous and flamboyant heights with its Tonight I’ll be Eating… campaign that most recently starred Elton John and Lil Nas ands before them Simon Cowell and The Wiggles, Mother London is taking the food delivery chain on a different voyage.
Its new campaign cuts through the “back to life” ra-ra that has pervaded UK advertising with a more sobering (and possibly) realistic view. The commercials star a food delivery person with his own kind of flamboyance. Although his theatrical flair doesn’t equal that of Lil Nas, he motivates with his oratories a group of exhausted workers who are back in the office working late, despondent soccer fans whose team is losing and some partygoers suffering the aftermath of their back to life exuberance.
Actor, Ekow Quartey, plays the delivery bloke with a zest for oratory. The films were directed by Mike Warzin and produced by Arts & Sciences, which opened in the UK this year.
“After what has been a tough eighteen months for everyone, we wanted to celebrate the resilience of the Great British public and the role of a great food delivery to lift your spirits,” stated Maya Gallego Spiers, head of marketing UK at Uber Eats. “Our latest campaign focuses on the power of food to help pick you up, lift your mood and give you the energy to persevere. Whatever the week throws at you, Uber Eats is always there.”
The campaign is running across TV and VOD, supported in OOH, digital and social.
