PC gamers have always been chained to their desks – or forced to leave their precious setups behind when they set out into the world. That’s about to change. Opera GX has launched the Pret-a-Portable collection, a line of clothing and accessories that allow gamers to take their gear wherever they go no matter where their next sidequest takes them.
The attention-grab was created by agency, Officer & Gentleman, that has worked with the brand since 2021.
At the centre of the capsule collection, created by awarded fashion designer Hed Mayner, is the PC Purse: a ridiculously oversized handbag that’s big enough to fit a gamer’s entire setup inside – from their mouse to their monitor and all those cables – and stylish enough to sport in any setting (if they can fit it through the door). An accessory that truly puts the purse in “personal computer”… by putting the PC in a purse.
And now that the browser’s users will be switching to street mode, they’ll need a PChic outfit to match – plus a place for all their extra peripherals. So, Opera GX and Hed Mayner are completing the collection with a stylish ensemble, featuring a branded tracksuit, bomber jacket and poncho, designed with loads of extra pockets to hold the rest of a gamer’s go-to inventory items (like controllers, headphones and doritos).

Alex Katz and Javi Iñiguez de Onzoño, co-founders of Officer & Gentleman, commented, “While Opera GX’s new line of alt+couture helps PC enthusiasts go fully mobile, it’s also a collection full of contradictions: It’s simultaneously practical but wholly impractical, convenient yet completely inconvenient, functional and dysfunctional – and high fashion for people more interested in high scores. So who better to model the new line than an internet sensation who defies any label: Rapper, producer, visual artist (and one of our personal heroes): Tommy Cash. For years, he’s been turning heads on the catwalk with his brilliantly off-the-wall stunts, and he’s bringing that same energy and originality to this collaboration.”

The collection was launched with an eye-catching performance during Hed Mayner’s F/W show at Paris Fashion Week – one in which the artist set up his computer during the show, and spent his time playing games and surfing the web on Opera GX while the models showed off their looks on the runway.
