Optus’s is looking for fresh creative agencies to work with. The telco has put its creative account to pitch five months after reconfirming its creative roster of agencies in August last year, adding TBWA Sydney. The new pitch is not for the entire account. TBWA, Special Group and Uncommon London are rumoured to be pitching.
M&C Saatchi was dropped from the roster in 2018. Thrive was added to its PR roster in 2019. The creative roster currently includes TBWA Sydney, M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment, Emotive, Big Red, M&C Saatchi’s Re, and Optus’ in-house agency, Yes Agency. We Are Social, Octogan, With Collective and AKQA were dropped in 2016.
Um has been Optus’ media agency since 2016.
Bear Meets Eagle on Fire worked on the campaign to launch Optus’ 5G network last year. Co-founder, Micah Walker, has been executive creative director at 72&Sunny Sydney while the agency was a full-time partner on the Optus roster.
