There is so much packed into Richards Rose’s campaign for the electric Mitsubishi Motors Outlander. There’s the car’s ability to travel distances (in this case across the Australian outback). There’s humour – from the classic dog eating the sausages as the set up to even in the “typical” Aussie family it portrays. There’s Australia’s greatest rock ‘n’ roll anthem, It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ’n’ Roll)…from Australia’s greatest rock n’ roll band, AC/DC – in advance of the group’s national tour, beginning in November.
…And there’s an in-joke that gives every Aussie a smile and a hug. The song is not only THE go-to road trip track. For more than 45 years, Aussies have been affectionately changing the lyrics to sing, “It’s a long way to the shop (if you wanna sausage roll).”


The commercial was directed by Scoundrel director, Ariel Martin.
