Inflation is the worry-word on minds throughout the world. In France, the holidays provided a worry-hiatus for some, but as school and work life resume, the cry “Life shouldn’t be this expensive,” has become loud again.
It also happens to be the name of the campaign by agency, Romance, for supermarket chain, Intermarché, that launched in January. The campaign continues now with three new films, once again directed by Katia Lewkowicz, depicting a surreal world in which everyday products are transformed into luxury goods, scenes from real life turned into fiction.
“The absurd invites itself onto our tables and into our lives. Let’s welcome it with as much humour as possible,” the agency commented.
The campaign supports an Intermarché initiative that launched on August 27, 100 Days of Purchasing Power. The initiative presents 100 days that ensure quality remains accessible to everyone, featuring over 1000 products at very affordable prices, as well as vouchers and exceptional weekly promotions.
The full campaign includes the three comnmercials along with three press advertisements in regional newspapers.
