Rosapark’s Škoda’s delightfully offbeat Škoda’s advertising continues with an epic drama for a tiny feature. In real life, people only “want to kill you” when your door opens onto their car. In Rosapark’s story, they really will. They’re mafiosi. Happily, Škoda’s door guard saves the day.
The feature, which is unique to Škoda, may be easily overlooked but it solves a problem that is very much part of car owner thinking. The commercial helps to highlight Škoda’s innovative positioning and makes sure that the feature gets the attention it deserves with its ‘80s mafia movies tension, slow motion, tight shots and Richard’ Wagner’s Ride of the Walkyries soundtrack.
Sacha Lacroix, managing director of Rosapark explained, “It’s interesting to see to what extent this option, based on such a small detail, really does that makes everyday life easier, and that once again, its invention is the result of exploratory work by Škoda, who’s constantly looking for strong consumer insights.”

Paul Barrocas, marketing director of Škoda France added, “One of the strong values of the brand is ‘attention’, and we strive to be constantly listening to and serving our consumers in order to provide them with practical solutions that combine comfort and ease at the wheel on a daily basis.”
To achieve the commercial’s cinematic drama, Škoda and Rosapark called on rising talent, the Bukherma brothers, to direct it. The twins, Ludovic and Zoran, who were grew up on fantastic literature and cinema, have already made feature films that have stood out in the world of cinema (Willy 1er, awarded at the Deauville American Film Festival, and Teddy, selected for the Cannes Film Festival 2020). This is the pair’s first commercial.

The campaign launched March 1 on social media with the hashtag, #MakeItEpic, and is running online in 60-second and 30-second formats.
