Honda’s Unstoppable Dreams campaign by RPA has launched in Australia. The campaigm launched in the US in October last year.
The Australian campaign will cover broadcast television, streaming and contextual digital media partnerships, as well as social media to reach a wide variety of audiences. The spot will begin appearing on tram wraps and high impact outdoor sites across Australia from February 24 and make its television debut on Australian TV on March 3. The campaign will also feature in cinemas across Australia during major movie premiere releases.
The campaign leads with a reverse poem told in a 60-second commercial directed by Rupert Sanders that brings to the fore Honda’s Power of Dreams mantra – resounding success is often the result of failures. The poem read backwards turns despair about failure into a statement of determination to succeed.
The cinematic spot features legendary Honda race machines including the 1992 Formula 1winning McLaren Honda MP4/7A driven by Ayrton Senna and the FIA Formula 1 championship 2021 Red Bull Racing Honda RB16B driven by Max Verstappen.
“We want to inspire our customers and fans by celebrating those who follow their dreams including the almost mythic status of the late Brazilian racer Ayrton Senna and the three-time reigning FIA Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen,” stated Eva Barrett, general manager brand, marketing and CX at Honda Australia. “This new Honda campaign delivers a reassuring message of how determination and self-belief can lead to resounding triumph.”
