M&C Saatchi Group has added another capability in Australia.
In the middle of February, M&C acquired independent media agency Bohemia – giving itself the full spectrum of media functions – strategy, media buying, outcome-based performance media and marketing analytics. It became a group of ten specialist agencies. Now it is a group of eleven.
The M&C Saatchi Group now has an integrated qualitative and quantitative research agency in Australia. The Source, which M&C launched in London seven years ago, has opened in Melbourne.
According to The Source’s own assessment, “we’re a team of passionate, experienced and dedicated researchers. This means we’re professional and credible, but more than that though we’re just nice, fun and energetic people to work with.”
The job of recreating that passion, dedication and likeability in Australia (and the Asia Pacific region) has been given to Matt Swinson, who has relocated from the London agency to become the new office’s managing director. His fifteen years of industry experience include major clients, BBC, Ebay and Tesco.
He will also guide the agency’s aim to bring businesses closer to their customers through premium research and high impact, innovative output.
Swinson commented, “We’re customer experts. We’re grounded on being a full service market research agency. Delivering a raw, high-resolution picture of the customer is our promise to our clients. Too often we see great work lost in a sea of uninspiring delivery – The Source aims to change that.”
The Source hopes to mirror its UK success, which uses both traditional and innovative research methodologies. The agency uses real-time techniques to be ‘in the moment’ from initial consumer engagement with a brand through to purchase decision. And it tailors its approach to each job to uncover real customer truths.
Swinson continued, “We see the Asia Pacific region, specifically Australia as a market with huge opportunity. We’ve hit the ground running, bringing insights to life helping them to live and breathe in our clients’ businesses.”
