Uncommon continues to live up to its name, producing advertising that defies the expected. Its work, Britain Get Talking, for ITV’s mental wellness initiative, began earlier this month when it stopped Britain’s Got Talent for one minute of silence, during which crew held up signs reading, Use our silence to talk to each other.
The campaign has now extended into print. The print ads, which were designed in-house at Uncommon, show what appears to be ripped out TV listings on a white page, but instead of the program guide, the copy reveals moments of compassion from loved ones when people talk to one another. Each print execution closes with the line, Tune back in to the story in your living room.
The new work will run across print outlets such as The Guardian, The Observer and The Sunday Times Culture Magazine.
