ITV would like people to give the gift of listening this Christmas and the broadcaster is promoting this goodie in a print campaign and activation by Uncommon Creative Studio. The print ads suggest the gifts that people might value most this year.

The gift executions follow the launch of this next iteration of Britain get Talking with a short film, It’s Been a Year.
As Covid continues to make life miserable, the campaign could not be more important and ITV has partnered again with YoungMinds, Mind and SAMH, to help alleviate people’s worries.

To support the print extension, Uncommon also launched a pop-up shop last week in Soho London for the broadcaster. The activation on Greek Street was hosted by singer and ITV presenter, Fleur East, one of the stars fronting the short film which launched earlier in the month. East gave passers-by beautifully designed boxes containing a giant chocolate ear, showing that listening really is the greatest gift you can give this Christmas.

Susie Braun, director of social purpose, ITV, stated, “When we’re all so busy at Christmas, it can be easy to forget to check in with the ones you love and truly listen to how they’re doing. We’re delighted to make a Christmas campaign with a difference, reminding people to give the generous gift of listening this Christmas. After the last couple of years, we could all use an ear.”

ITV gave its chocolate ears to a select number of talent, too, to help continue to share the important message, including Love Island’s Dr Alex George, who is also the UK Youth Mental Health Ambassador within the Department for Education.
