“Christmas is best when it’s more surprising.” And who better to do surprising that Wieden + Kennedy, which has used the statement as its theme for a bizarre Christmas singalong…
…that underlines TK Maxx’ promise, surprising gifts at surprising prices.
The ad opens on a classic “family carols around the piano” scene. The ad says goodbye to classic from there. The humour begins when Grandma gargles her tea…which sets of an a cappella version of the theme from Pulp Fiction (Misirlou).
The twisted Christmas song was directed by Andreas Nilsson (who will forever be known as the Epic Split director). It is running on TV in the UK, Ireland, German and Poland.
