BBR (Baumann Ber Rivnay) Saatchi & Saatchi is an ad agency in Tel Aviv. Let’s assume it knows a little about the tragedy of war.
In the last few weeks, Israel has hit more than 2,000 targets in Gaza and Hamas has launched nearly 1,500 rockets at Israel. By July 18, the horror of war was being described in all its nasty detail by The Guardian, BBC News and the New York Times.
In the Washington Post, William Booth wrote a first hand account titled, Israeli strike kills four children on a Gaza beach on July 16. Yes, it’s hard to read but please don’t let that stop you.
The next day ABC News picked up the story. Its article began, “Thousands of Israeli soldiers invaded the Gaza Strip on Thursday, escalating a 10-day military operation to try to destroy Hamas’ weapons arsenal, rocket firing abilities and tunnels under the Palestinian territory’s border with Israel.”
It’s a story of angry men bickering.
That day, July 17, BBR Saatchi & Saatchi and Palestinian Israeli Bereaved Families for Peace uploaded We Don’t Want You Here on YouTube.
Witness the power of the quietly spoken voice, a simple idea and the element of surprise.
