M&C Saatchi issued the following statement this morning, November 25:
“It is with sadness that we announce Andy DiLallo will be leaving M&C Saatchi.
Andy has been an instrumental part of the business for close to two years. He has decided to spend more time with his young family. For anyone who knows the year Andy has had, this couldn’t be closer to the truth.
We want to thank Andy for his creative leadership in helping to build some of the best brands in the country. We are incredibly proud of the work he has led and the team he has built. We know he will continue to be a creative powerhouse.
Jaimes Leggett: “We’re gutted to see Andy go. He’s a brilliant creative and a top bloke. I’d personally like to thank him for always championing the work. I have no doubt that he’ll go on to do great things in his next creative endeavour.”
Andy DiLallo: “When Jaimes and the partners invited me to take M&C’s already formidable creative reputation to the next level, I accepted with honour. Now I leave a creative department I believe is unmatched in this country and a culture of innovation that makes me truly proud of what we’ve collectively achieved. For me it’s now time to refocus my energies from professional, to personal. I leave M&C knowing that their clients are in the best shape and that the future is exciting for both of us”
DiLallo left Leo Burnett Sydney to become chief creative officer of M&C Saatchi at the end of April 2015.
