If you’re going to do a competition, make it underline the brand’s selling proposition. Here’s a brilliant example to use as your guiding light.
When Australians hear the word, Nad’s they think smooth skin. It has been the brand you use to get rid of hair you don’t want since 1992. So Believe is making use of Nad’s heritage of smooth, by asking to send Australia’s Smoothest Pick Up Line in exchange for the chance to win five grand.
Believe Advertising noted that the campaign is also built around Australia’s love of cheeky one liners.
“I wanted to create a campaign for Nad’s that would get Australians to have a laugh while also reminding them that Nad’s has been making smooth bodies for over 22 years,” Believe Advertising director, Adrian Falk, commented.
The campaign is being hosted on Nad’s The Smoothest Pickup Line website, and shared across Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #smoothestpickupline.
Here are five lines NOT to enter.
A billion dumb blokes have tried these two, no doubt with little success:
“If I told you that you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?”
“Do you have a map? Because I’m getting lost in your eyes!”.
And these three have epic fail coded into their DNA:
“Are those space pants? Because your ass is out of this world.”
“If I was a fly, I’d land on you first. Because you’re the shit.”
“My penis just died; can I bury it in your ass?”
