Americans get everything first. Always have. They got chewing gum in 1870. The French had to wait until 1918. They got skateboards in 1957. The French didn’t get them until 1965.
And the ultimate indignity – cupcakes. America got these in 1952. France, 2012.
Then there’s entertainment. Movies and series often come out in France a full season behind America.
But Game of Thrones Season 6? Thanks to Canal+, the first episode of GOT Season 6 will air on April 25 in the morning – not even one minute behind the US.
To promote this, BETC has created an illustrated outdoor campaign, juxtaposing iconic objects that the French have had to wait for with GoT.
