While Westpac (DDB Sydney) and NAB (Clemenger) have both been filling Australia’s hearts with their fictional stories about the business they are helping, NAB has now changed tack.
The next phase of its campaign, This is the story of progress, by Clemenger is filling people’s heads with real life stories of the businesses it is helping.
These new stories, which are told on an NAB website hub, are those of:
- Jane Templeton, founder & owner of dog treat company, Golp, whose story is that Progress isn’t always a straight path
- Paul Polly, founder of chilled dessert business, Wicked Sister, whose story is about Turning risk into sweet success
- Peter Costi, the world’s second largest macadamia producer and owner of Costi Farms, whose story is about Thinking 30 years ahead
The full campaign is now running nationally on TV, OOH, radio, digital and social.
Kipling Zubevich, NAB general manager, business marketing, commented, “As Australia’s biggest business bank, we understand that progress means different things to different businesses. This campaign celebrates a diverse mix of businesses taking important steps forward, and showcases the personal stories of progress of three business customers that NAB has supported.”
Clemenger BBDO executive creative director, Richard Williams, added, “In business, progress often happens in a non-linear fashion. On some days, it can feel like it’s two steps forward, one step back. Australian businesses, and the wonderful people that run them, are renowned for their perseverance and ingenuity, and we hope we’ve been able to capture and celebrate that through this campaign.”
