Seeing opportunities in unexpected places is the hallmark of great creativity is it not?Creative director, Neil Walshe, has turned the humble dog poo bag into a clean-up tool for the environment, and turned dog walkers into a planet Earth clean-up crew.
“Plastic pollution plagues the earth. The least we can do is pick it up. However, people would rather pick up a steaming pile of gastroenteritis, than a chip packet sterilised by the ocean,” he commented.
Human Waste Bag is a simple design that is printed on the front of the free dog bags that are readily available at council dog beaches. The designs entice humans to pick up plastic pollution as well as their dog poo, after all they do have a garbage bag in their hand.
Neil Walshe stated, “I walk my dog every morning on Cronulla beach, and I watch people pick up their own dogs poo, but then disgustingly step over plastic that has washed up on the shore line. Human Waste Bag is designed to get people thinking, and maybe picking up a few bits of plastic too.”

The designs are available open source. And because plastic pollution is prevalent on the coastline, have been sent to every council on the NSW coast.
