“Cresta is almost 40 years this year but, far from entering middle-age, we seem to have a more youthful and challenging tone than ever in our winners,” stated Alan Page, president of the awards. “We have had a real breadth of entrants from around the world and it’s been a beautiful open competition: major networks taking on hot startup agencies, giant clients like Tencent showing their stuff against small but vital production companies. It’s a joy to provide the platform for this.”
Lewis Blackwell, Cresta chief executive officer, added, “There are many great stories in the winners but I will pick out one that seems to indicate the future. The still very young agency Performance Art, out of Toronto and New York, really caught the jury attention with its innovation and creative ingenuity, as seen in the Black Elevation Map. Check it out. Once again we see creative standards as being pushed at the interface of innovative thought, disruptive processes, and innovative technology.”
