Cyber security continues to be a problem. HSBC continues to warn customers to be more careful.
Once again using entertaining humour to engage, the bank’s new campaign by David Buenos Aires uses a will as a metaphor for all the information that can be passed to cybercrimals.
Succession, created with Argentina Cine, follows the partners’ successful Dear Customers campaign, both awareness of a problem that continues to grow in Argentina and the world.

With more than 1.2 billion attempted cyber-attacks registered in Argentina last year, cybercrime has become one of the country’s most common and harmful practices. In these types of crimes, cybercriminals trick people into giving them personal and confidential information, such as passwords, banking details, and credit card numbers.
“With our previous Dear Customer campaign, we learned that cybercrime evolves constantly and is a problem that needs to be addressed, not only in Argentina but worldwide. It is a very serious issue that affects the lives of millions of people, and we strongly believe it must be part of the public agenda,” stated David Buenos Aires co-chief creative officer, Nicolás Vara.
“Besides, the positive impact that the campaign had also taught us that humor is a good way to massively introduce a problem, which is often addressed technically and distantly, generating a lack of interest in the public,” added David Buenos Aires co-chief creative officer, Ignacio Flotta.
The campaign will air on TV and in cinemas in Buenos Aires, plus digital formats.
