Vaulted’s King Tut returns to continue to make gold investment appealing to everyday people with an irreverent explainer video – because after all, he is so big on gold he was buried in it.
Indie agency, Fire Kite’s new work for the gold investment app from McAlvany Financial Group opens in the pyramids of Egypt, where viewers find King Tut in his tomb, ready to reveal his secrets on securing timeless gold. The three-minute film entices with a mix of visual humour and practical insight – featuring everything from his lavish gold possessions to his less-than-subtle dismissal of paper currency, all reinforcing gold’s enduring value during times of economic uncertainty.

Chris Guerra plays the pharaoh for our times again, showing viewers just how easy it is to stack up on physical gold and become (almost) as iconic as he is.
The new explainer builds on the success of Vaulted’s previous campaigns, Because Gold and Free Gold Never Happens – just with less insanity and more sensible understanding. It continues to position gold as both culturally relevant and financially strategic for modern investors. Its three sections highlight the ease of using the Vaulted app while addressing common investor questions, all with Tut confidently leading the way.
Just like gold, this brand platform is the gift that keeps on giving. We brought back Tut to remind people of the value of precious metals. Now he’s smoking cigarettes, drinking goldschlager and talking about marrying his half-sister. I’ll be honest, I’m slightly concerned about where this will go next,” quipped Alex Goulart, founder and executive creative director at Fire Kite.
“Gold is more than just a cultural icon. It’s the critical foundation of a balanced investment portfolio that provides stability and confidence,’ added David McAlvany, CEO of McAlvany Financial Group. “Vaulted has made owning real gold much easier than most people realise.”
The campaign coincides with a Vaulted.com app redesign by Fire Kite to make it more modern and intuitive.
