Jason Momoa discovers he is Irish. The commercial for Guinness is two-and-a-half minutes of Jason Momoa nirvana for fans – and for Momoa. His partnership with the Diageo brand is official and he got to direct and star in the campaign. The action-plus-humour spot, Lovely Day for a Guinness, was produced by On the Roam, the company that Momoa co-founded with Brian Mendoza, and it was filmed in New Zealand while Momoa was working on a movie. Ultimately, it is revealed that Momoa is 2% Irish – the commercial then underlining the star’s passion for Guinness.
Fun fact: The first woman Momoa kisses is his real mum.

The spot launched on March 11, ahead of St Patrick’s Day, and will run all year on digital, social media and TV, with new footage and variations to follow.
