The European elections are coming up. It’s time for people to think about Europe and what it means to be European. Cultural broadcaster, ARTE, has taken on that job and KesselsKramer has devised a unique way to achieve it.
ARTE is making a big road trip with 27 Europeans.
The exhibit and campaign, Nice to Meet You, exists in a truck with 27 larger-than-life portraits of Europeans. It will travel across the continent, visiting cities in every corner of Europe. The 30-day journey will culminate just before the upcoming European elections.
Nice to Meet You is more than just an exhibition. It is a moving dialogue across borders, a visual and conversational exploration of what it means to be European in the 21st century. As the European elections approach, the project aims to foster a deeper understanding and connection among the people of Europe.

The truck is travelling through numerous cities, including Strasbourg, Warsaw, Vilnius, Riga, Prague, Bratislava, Venice, Ljubljana, and many more. Each portrait represents a unique European individual, reflecting the cultures, histories, and stories that make up the European identity.

Accompanying the exhibition is a dedicated team of journalists, videographers, and photographers who are documenting the journey. They will engage with locals, capturing their reactions to the portraits and gathering their thoughts on European unity, identity, and the continent’s future. These interactions will be shared on ARTE’s dedicated platform, offering a real-time glimpse into the diverse perspectives of Europeans today.
