Amnesty International Hungary says that everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation has the right to love anybody of any sex.
It is part of the organisation’s overall position for human rights: “Amnesty International has been a committed advocate for human rights, and has been fighting against negative discrimination since 1961. As part of our efforts, it is our priority to call attention to the inequalities and atrocities committed against members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans- and intersexual (LMBTI) community.”
The right to love anybody is denied to some people in some countries. So DDB Budapest has created a campaign for the human rights organisation to help it collect 365 kisses until the 11th of October, International Coming Out Day, to demonstrate that on every given day of the year people must stand against prejudice and stigmatisation.
The campaign, Kiss Against Homophobia, asks people to send in a picture of their face in profile so that it may be paired randomly with someone of the same sex, as if the two were kissing. The virtual kisses will be housed on the Amnesty Send a Kiss campaign website, to demonstrate support for the Kiss Against Homophobia initiative.
