Microsoft’s Christmas campaign by McCann New York was created with AI, notable the AI in Microsoft Designer. The company teamed up with transmedia artist, Ellie Pritts, who interviewed people on the street about their holiday traditions, which she used as AI prompts to create artworks.
The campaign celebrates the unique holiday traditions and memories created in families. “They’re all a little different because the people and traditions are all a little different, yet at their heart are the distinct memories that shape and connect us,” Microsoft stated.

The hero film and series of individual family artwork videos were directed by awarded film director and photographer, Andree Ljutica. The campaign is running on Microsoft’s digital and social channels.
Shayne Millington, chief creative officer at McCann New York, stated, “The holidays are that special time of year where memories and traditions are created among friends and family. It was incredible to hear the range of stories from people all over the world and see their faces light up when their memories immediately became something tangible.”
