Thousands of people have worked at Saatchi & Saatchi in 80 Charlotte Street over the last 40 years. Very soon, the agency will be leaving. Saatchi & Saatchi UK is moving into new offices at 40 Chancery Lane.
And while 80 Charlotte Street has been the home of some of very famous creativity and at times the hot spot of controversy (and green carpets) in UK advertising…
…Saatchi & Saatchi feels that the agency is about so much more than just the bricks and mortar of the building. It’s about the people who’ve worked there over the years.
People like Maurice and Charles Saatchi, Sir Martin Sorrell, Sir John Hegarty, Sir Tim Bell and Paul Arden.
People like long-term S&S-ers, including John Pendleton, who joined in 1979, our receptionist Lucy Charles, who joined in 1984, and Mick Leahey, in Despatch.
To commemorate the agency’s imminent departure and ahead of its move to the new offices, Saatchi & Saatchi London has launched the School of Saatchi campaign, an interactive school photograph featuring everyone who currently works at Charlotte Street.
As a thank you to all its past colleagues, the agency is inviting them to join in the photo by uploading their own headshots and brief information on when they worked there.
So past S&S-ites, visit the School of Saatchi website, to find yourself sitting among friends and colleagues, past and present and help S&S to create a memento of all the people who have passed through 80 Charlotte Street.
The campaign was created by Will Millner and Tom Cleeland at Saatchi & Saatchi London. The class of 80 Charlotte Street, featuring existing employees, will feature in the windows of 80 Charlotte Street until the agency leaves.
