Living in a country where assault weapons can be owned and shootings happen daily? It’s unthinkable in Australia. A power cell of a PSA is making it unthinkable in the country where it exists. The campaign by creative agency, Quality Meats, supported by independent agency, Zambezi, aims to get people to join March Fourth’s march to the Capitol on September 22, to try to convince the Senate to pass the federal ban on assault weapons.
It does so with a series of scenes that make Americans confront the consequences of apathy towards gun control. Scenes that are part of everyday life for many Americans. They relate the reasons they are not going to march:

March Fourth is a non-partisan grassroots community organisation that was formed earlier this year in the wake of the shooting at Highland Park, Illinois, during a Fourth of July parade. March Fourth marched after the tragedy, and weeks later, the US House of Representatives passed the H.R. 1808 assault weapons ban. Now, the organisation is marching again. The appeal, Pass The Ban, aims to urge Senate to pass the bill (S. 736) so that President Biden can sign it into law.
The film is running on March Fourth’s social channels. People who want to join the march in person or virtually can register online. The organisation is also accepting donations to help support the event and help victims and survivors attend.
