Sponsorship ads must be a challenge to create. So many followed the road most travelled. Sid Lee and Moët & Chandon haven’t. As well as taking care of people’s champagne needs at the French Open, the brand is highlighting Roger Federer, who marks his 20th year of professional tennis this year.
And Moët is doing it with a specially designed bottle inspired by the grip of a tennis racket. The brand worked with Sid Lee to create 20 QVC and 20 magnum bottles of its grand vintage bottled the year the tennis star entered the world of professional tennis, 1998, and a film featuring the exclusive design.
In the special packaging, Moet & Chandon’s signature tie is replaced with the rubber grip of a tennis racket, inscribed with a timeline of the player’s numerous personal and professional exploits.
The standard size bottles will be given as gifts on behalf of Federer. The magnum bottles will be sold for 19,998€ to raise funds for the player’s charity, the Roger Federer foundation, which since 2003, has helped 500,000 children around the world gain better access to sport and education.
