“This year we’ve joined forces with our friends at Pitch & Sync to create a musical Christmas that’s statistically 30% bigger*, all in support of The Rhythm Studio Foundation, a local charity that works with schools, community groups and young people who have a passion for music but lack the means and support to take it further. [*Compared to available year-on-year Christmas size data]”
Yes, it’s Christmas greetings from Wieden + Kennedy London. But, it’s not just Christmas greetings.
It’s for a good cause. And the “interactive” bit is hugely fun.
But first the awesome bit…
“We challenged artists from across the musical spectrum to come and play Pitch & Sync’s giant, ten octave piano.
“The amazing instrument, which made its UK debut, isn’t just packing 30% more notes, it’s got super skills that let musicians go way beyond Christmas jingles. Concealed within the elongated piano are sophisticated speakers which feed into samplers which, in turn, feed back into the sound of the piano strings. This creates an electro-acoustic sound quite unlike anything else, something which the programme of artists has been tasked to explore.”

Now, you can also have a go at playing W+K’s virtual mega-piano and hear a specially curated Christmas playlist yourself.
Go on, it’s Christmas. Who cares who’s listening. (Turn up the sound)
