Spikes Asia’s TechTalks, the series of future-focused sessions, will focus on transformative technology at this year’s Spikes Asia Festival.
For anyone who wants to ahead of the game, or at least of understanding, in virtual, augmented and mixed reality, the Internet of Things, mobile, programmatic and audio technology, this is the place to do it.
The programme, sponsored by Omnicom Media Group, includes speaker and hands on workshops on the Discovery Stage throughout the Festival, which runs from September 21 to 23.

Also on the Discovery Stage is the the masterclass series. Entertainment Jury President, Silvia Goh, chief content officer for Publicis Media, Greater China, will discuss the changing face of entertainment in the region.
Michael Ritchie, president of this year’s Film Craft jury and managing director & executive producer of Revolver/Will O’ Rourke, Australia, will share insights into his creative process and drive.
TechTalks include:
- Anathea Ruys, head of Fuse, Asia Pacific, Omnicom Media Group and Alan Bacchelli, head of production, Pixelcase, will live stream in virtual reality and examine the relationship between brands and VR.
- Tuomas Peltoniemi,Innovation jury member and president of TBWA\Digital Arts Network, Asia Pacific, will delve deeper into how individuals interact with new technological experiences
- Gabriel Tamborini, creative director and Dave Fernandes, senior designer at Fjord, Design and Innovation from Accenture Interactive will present a live demonstration of the ‘Sound of the Web’.
- Rod Findley, executive creative director, C2K Communications, will observe how brands and companies can engage with technology, uncovering the wave of new tech “realities”.
- Brian Wong, chief executive officer & founder of Kiip, will discuss the ubiquitous nature of mobile and the role marketing can play
- Rohan Philips, vice president of products and strategy, Asia Pacific for Xaxis, will look at how advertising can be enhanced through technology
- Amy Chen, co-founder of Bowhead Technology, will address the Internet of Things and its impact on human interactions.
