It is remarkable for any creative entity to be unique after twenty-five years, and it is not that people haven’t tried to emulate The Glue Society. But it is still the one place where ideas (your or its) can be anything. It is still mystery to some and demonstrable proof that Australian creativity punches above its weight to others. And it is still led by co-founder and creative genius, Jonathan Kneebone (above right), now with Pete Baker, Alice Cogin, Henry Curchod, Luke Crethar, Millicent Malcolm, Paul Bruty, Luke Nuto, Scott Stirling and Helen Psychogios.
The Glue Society turned twenty-five with a party that aligned perfectly with its reputation of creative greatness. Michael Ritchie (above left), managing director and executive producer of Revolver, and the bloke who cleverly brought The Glue Society into his fold when The Glue Society was an oddity, did the speech honours.
