Most people try to hide thinning hair. Uncommon Creative Studio New York made it so highly visible. The agency rolled a giant, fuzzy 3.5-metre ball of real human hair through the streets of New York – from Midtown, the West Village and Chinatown to the Seaport, representing the 167 billion hairs that New Yorkers lose to shedding. The stunt, created for Unilever Prestige haircare brand K18’s new longevity serum, FutureIQ. According to the brand, the serum saves uses 19,000 hairs after 90 days use.
Tumblehair was an unignorable statement about hair loss and probably a fear-trigger to create interest in the new product.
The hairball, called Tumblehair, finished its excursion on Wednesday, August 12, at Sephora Meatpacking, where K18 is hosting a Hair Longevity Lab activation.
Influencers received mini Tumblehairs – for a rather gross unpacking.
