Uncommon: What if EA Sports FC 26 incorporated all of its fans’ ideas?

EA Sports FC 26 overhauls football gameplay. It’s powered by community feedback. And so is its campaign. The Club Is Yours, the brand’s new creative platform and strategic direction by Uncommon leads with a 2.30 minute trailer, a celebration of everything the fans have ever wanted (almost). The new direction is built around a simple truth – fans don’t just play the game, they shape it. The film dramatises the passion, creativity, and absurdity of football fandom.
While FC 26 incorporates many real fan suggestions, its trailer imagines what would happen if every single idea came to life. And that is total anarchy. The epic features fan suggestions coming to life in spectacular ways – players attacked by polar bears, a 45ft wide goal for Virgil Van Dijk, Jude Bellingham struck by lightning, a monstrous Oliver Kahn smashing through a wall, Zlatan scoring from outside the stadium, and a referee chased away for suggesting VAR. As more ideas pour in, chaos erupts – a visual reflection of FC’s commitment to listen, but also the limits of possibility.
It also features some of the world’s most legendary names across football, sport, and culture, including Jude Bellingham, Toni Kroos, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Alyssa Thompson, Cole Palmer, Virgil van Dijk, Oliver Kahn, Lewis Hamilton, and more, capturing the voice of the global FC community in full force.
Nils Leonard, co-founder Uncommon Creative Studio, stated, “More than just a trailer, this film is a tribute to football culture, spanning the artistry of global icons, the dreams of the next generation and the roar of the stadium. We’re so proud of our long-standing partnership with EA SPORTS FC, and launching this new game shaped by player feedback and the community feels like an exciting next chapter that’s never been seen before.”
The wider campaign, built from community comments, features over 50 short-form films across TV and social, with stars including Alex Morgan, Jamal Musiala, Endrick, Manuel Nauer, Skepta, and Angry Ginge.
Earlier in the launch, EA and Uncommon unveiled the FC 26 cover stars, highlighting generational talents, Jude Bellingham and Jamal Musiala, for FC 26 and EA SPORTS FC Mobile, capturing the energy and atmosphere of a match. Zlatan Ibrahimović returns as the Ultimate Edition cover star, recreating a famous childhood photo of him gazing at his idol, Ronaldo – this time surrounded by badges, kits, and memorabilia marking his rise from fan to football icon, including PSG, Sweden, and Malmö. The return of Zlatan was driven by overwhelming fan requests, inspiring an in-game special where players can field an entire team made up of his character alone, celebrating both his career and the voice of the FC community.
The campaign mirrors the game’s actual changes. FC 26 represents the most community driven football experiences to date. Fans can continue to have their say via the FC Feedback hub where players can share ideas, report issues, and help shape the future of FC through Discord and FC’s Player Feedback Portal.
