There are rewards better than a Black, Gold or Platinum? Yep.
Every year, in November in Sydney, AdNews gets adland Aus and its sister, medialand Aus, to compete with one another. Not for budget dollars and space in digital and paper places, but for bragging rights. Seven Network, for example, has the fittest fastest woman in the industry. M&C Saatchi has been “the team to beat next year” – twice.
It’s an event called The AdNews Challenge. There are four legs: swim, kayak, run and obstacle course. The challenge part happens because each leg is devised by Australia’s version of Superman, The Sandhill Warrior.
And for all those competitors who also register to be sponsored, doing well in The Challenge also means doing good. The AdNews Challenge supports the industry’s not-for-profit that looks out for kids at risk, UN LTD.
This (above) is me, The Stable’s editor, doing well and doing good to the tune of $349 last year.
So I know that it’s also the have a go, do your bit, meet your next boss…beat your current one…show off your credentials, have fun ad and media industry event of the year.
Join in, if you’re an Aus creative. Sponsor someone who has, if you’re not.
